Sadly I saw that coming.

I need to stop subjecting myself to the cesspool of humanity that is the comments section on internet news articles.

Re: Effort to Re-Create Petoskey's Light
No matter what the project, there's always going to be somebodies coming out against it. The one reader who called the structure "Ugly" obviously is no lover of Lighthouses. I would love to have that Light outside my picture window instead of the bland scenery I now see. How dare the mighty GLLKA swoop in and try to improve the area with a replica of it's own history !
Thing that bothers me, is there wasn't any comments supporting the project. If the residents of Petoskey don't want a model of their own history, prehaps it would be better to offer it somewhere down the road to a community who would appreciate it.

Re: Effort to Re-Create Petoskey's Light
The Petoskey lighthouse replica was on the agenda again at the City Council meeting tonight. Although Sunset Park was nixed as a location, we think we have a better location as a backup. Stay tuned. Here's an article from the Petoskey News... http://www.petoskeynews.com/breaking_news/article_24814de2-9ea5-11df-8c44-001cc4c002e0.html
