I found this musical video very recently. I am posting it here because it was filmed at a New England lighthouse. Holly told me she wishes she knew more about lighthouses and the light keepers before she wrote the song. Regardless, I think the lyrics are quite exceptional and convey the thoughts and feelings a light keeper would experience.

This is a second rendition on YouTube. The keeper and wife at 2:47 are my grandparents at Whitehead Light where he was head keeper.

and also in this YouTube video--
"My father was the lighthouse keeper and that is me as a baby right at the picture on 1:18, Dumpling Rock Lighthouse, 1940. I was so wonderfully surprised! The music is wonderful and there are also some other lighthouse keepers my family knew on here. I will play this over and over and also buy the CD. Seamond, the Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter, still alive at nearly 71 years old!"

Seamond at age 5 with her lightkeeper father at Cuttyhunk Light witnessed the loss of the Vineyard Lightship with the crew who she knew well and considered them all to be her extended family, her "adopted" uncles. (See Vineyard Lightship post below)
