Saw this this evening ...

So many of us have stopped and taken pictures of this light from "across the water." Thought this might be of some inetrest ...


Our Mr Pepper's project of similar magnitude out in Michigan is also cited here ...

The question of the day is what is the National Lighthouse Preservation Association? I'm not familiar with that one.

:D Shirin - I believe that they were referring to ALF. You know the group that " assisted "with the renovation of Race Point. Very often news reports get some of the facts correct but it would be nice if they would at least get the names of lighthouse preservation groups correct for these articles! :roll:

Sandy neck is a private light though.

Paul was correct; they were referring to ALF. The Cape Cod Chapter of ALF restored the Race Point Light Station, and they are involved with the owner of Sandy Neck Lighthouse in the effort to have a replica lantern installed. I've had the pleasure of a tour with the owner, Ken Morton, and I know he's dedicated to the restoration of the lighthouse. More here:
