This is interesting material, but I should point out that Hunter was not an official keeper of the Colechester Reef Lighthouse. He was an occasional relief keeper.

The first paragraph states he was a 'spare lighthouse keeper' ...

When the Button's, the official light keepers, wanted time on shore he would fill in for them.
