Help to Preserve a Local Lighthouse

Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse is dedicated to the preservation of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse. The organization educates the public about the history of the light station and its keepers dating back to 1771. Volunteers with a passion for maritime history and lighthouses are needed to help plan fund-raising events, apply for grants, and develop public outreach programs. Volunteers would work directly with the president and other officers to develop special events and programs.

Contact Jeremy D' Entremont, co-chairman, at 431-9155 or keeper@lighthouse.cc.

Currently I am in a two month (required) training program to become a volunteer in Portland. So, I cannot be of help. I do hope that volunteers are found to help out FPHL.

The story was a little out of date, but appreciated. I'm no longer co-chair (I'm operations manager). The full phone # is 603-431-9155. We'd love to hear from anyone who'd like to help in any way.
