Justin - Thanks for posting this story! I hope everyone will watch the video in the article. The Maine Lighthouse Museum needs to raise $50,000 by July 1st to keep the doors open! No donation is too big or too small and any donation will be sincerely appreciated! As it says in the article, The Maine Lighthouse Museum isn't just a local attraction, it is a "National Treasure" and we can't afford to let Ken Black's Dream die!

To Donate you may send a check to:

Maine Lighthouse Museum
One Park Drive P.O. Box 1116
Rockland, Maine 04841

For more information or to join the museum you may contact Dot Black at 207-594-3301 or email info@mainelighthousemuseum.org

My best,
Paul Conlin

Paul,

I take it from your response you won't be on it. Is Jeremy involved in this one?

I've wanted to take this particualar boat trip for years- just never worked out before.

Thank you Paul for answering a question I had before when I first read about this. I wasn't sure if this was a small sum of money needed or an insurmountable obstacle. While I wouldn't call $50,000 merely a small sum it shouldn't be insurmountable either. I believe an individual membership was only $25. That is what I call a small sum and surely manageable by just about every lighthouse enthusiast out there. I do hope more join that just Dennis.

Thanks, Rob - I also hope more people will join the museum or send a donation. Every dollar will help!

Dennis - I won't be on that ALF cruise. I think Jeremy will be on board. I'll let you know for sure as soon as I find out.

My best, :D

Are we talking about the June 20 ALF cruise in Rhode Island? If so, I'll be there. I'll also be on the June 6 NELL cruise out of Newburyport, MA, and the August 29 ALF cruise from Portland, Maine.

Yes we are talking about the 6-20 ALF Cruise of Narragannsett Bay in RI. We'll be there and then spend the next day in Newport, RI.
