Beautifully done, Stephen. I enjoyed the various photos (incl. the buoy shot) and historical text. A great information page for anyone who is interesting in its history and/or would like to visit there

Were the homeless people sleeping on the benches at Savannah Range when you went Stephen? We were there real early on a Sunday morning, and I was just happily (and obliviously) clicking away, until my daughter pointed them out to me.
No, we were there in the middle of the afternoon when I took those photos. I have been to Savannah several times, yet have never seen them sleeping there.
On first glance it has a striking resemblance to Gene Kelley's "dance partner" in the signature scene from Singing in the Rain.
I like the unique and this certainly qualifies ... between you and Larry and your (ahem) editor, the three of you conjured up something quite unique to share.
I appreciate it. Thanks again.
