Actually, we really need an author/contributor for that section...someone willing to contribute fresh pages on an on-going basis, kinda along the lines of the pages that Elinor DeWire does for LH Digest.

We would like to aim the content at the young kids as well as the young teenager. Heck, I read Elinor's pages and enjoy them! We also hope to get some contributions from the kids...photos of them at a lighthouse or drawings.

Any volunteers?

I believe that I contributed some original drawings and text to that page several months ago (to assist in creating a coloring page for kids) and was told that it would be posted. I'd be interested in knowing what the status is and would be more than willing to help out in anyway I can.

I still have all of your contributions Brent, along with the other things, I haven't had time to get that section up and running, and ran into a few snags with scanning and size of files.

Maintaining it once it's up will be the big part, it's something that should be updated frequently.

Once that section is up and running, as Ross said, most importantly, it will need to be updated frequently.

So we need material.

We have some old stuff (on the lines of Elinor's -> games;puzzles, etc.) that was used in a periodical 10-12 years ago, but that will only go so far and needs to be completely re-formatted.

I'd love to have an adventure story that could be posted in chapters with illustrations. Something involving lighthouses/LSS's (adventure).

So I'm looking for input, and if there is an author out there who likes to write for the 5-8 year-old or the young teen, and would like to volunteer some time and material, with credit of course, please let us know.

I can be reached through the OBLHS website at judy@outerbankslighthousesociety.org.

Thanks!
