While surfing the net I came upon a lighthouse web site with a ton of information and pictures. The site is http://www.lighthousecentral.com. It is designed and hosted by Great Lakes lighthouse author Jerry Roach. There are listings of numerous preservation groups, a calendar of events for lighthouse happenings, a listing of lighthouses where you can stay, and even a list of trips with Jerry to visit offshore lighthouses. Plan on spending some time here, there is a lot to see.

JR ... thanks for the heads up.

Took a cursory look just now ... plan on returning more than once.
Believe those who search for the truth ...
Doubt those who find it ...

Nice site (I will return to look at it more at a latter date), but what is with the Montauk Point header if the site is about Michigan lighthouses?

Good catch on lighthouse for the http://www.lighthousecentral.com web site banner. Once you look through the web site, you'll notice a section called the "preservation" page. The author and host of this web site donates 10% of all the books sold through the web site to preservation and restoration groups throughout the country. The groups that have selected to be a part of this program are on that preservation page. When a book is ordered the customer selects a group from that list who will receive that 10%. In order to show no favortism, the lighthouse selcted for the web site banner is one not on that lsit. Mystery solved!
