Don't miss this short article and beautiful photos of New England Lighthouses by Paul Rezendes!

"Lighthouses are the embodiment of summertime, but few seek them out in Winter. A cruel breeze often rips off the ocean, and frequent ice and snow storms intimidate all but the brave or foolish."

I guess they have never heard of NELL or "Lighthouses, Hot Chocolate & You"! We certainly did feel the cruel breezes and the ice and snow storm yesterday but all of these did not deter us from visiting our historic lights!

We had a great time!

Paul,

I don't know how I missed you on Saturday. Did we meet, or was I too busy going up more stairs/ladders than I care to count and trying to get the feeling back in my toes? I think the magazine needs another category besides brave and foolish....the hard-core lighthouse lover!

Maria - How about brave hard-core lighthouse lovers?

I think we may have passed as we were coming back from Derby Wharf Light. Were you with Shirin and maybe Ross? I know Shirin was going out to the light as my wife and I were leaving it.

I hope you enjoyed yourself in spite of our crazy weather! I think most people who attended had a good time anyway!

My best,
Paul
