I do like unusual lighthouse structures….Such as Sao Juliao…That tower the light is mounted on looks fairly old….And the Regufe Light….What an intriguing design for that type of light……

The cliffs are also Impressive, as in that last shot, the Penedo da Saudade Light…. 8)

I must say you have a wide and varied assortment of Lighthouses in your country....... 8O

The different architectural styles and the many different historical buildings are indeed interesting.

That was only in the continental part of the country. Today I'll post the lighthouses of the two Portuguese archipelagos, Azores and Madeira, in the altantic ocean

Observations……..

All of the lights, except for the 2 abandoned ones, seem to be very well cared for….

And, does the Girl in the water come with the Formigas Lighthouse ??........ :mrgreen:

Impressive photos Salpicown, did you know that Barra Head is the highest lighthouse in Britain? It is on the southernmost island of the Outer Hebrides Chain.
