Mulkiteo Lighthouse at Dusk

A forum to discuss lighthouses on the West Coast Region of the US
(California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii)

I'm kind of out of order here, but wanted to get another post up. These shots of Mulkiteo Lighthouse in Puget Sound were taken just as we came off the Washington State Ferry about 45 minutes after sunset after a day of island hopping through Puget Sound on the WSF system. I had to tripod over the fence, so composition was pretty limited, but I managed to get a few.

And with the very ferry in the background that we just drove off from minutes before I took this.

Jen,

Thanks once more ...

The shot with the ferry lights is quite the eye-catcher. It's a shame the flags were already lowered ...

Please keep feeding these to us. I've enjoyed them all.

Thanks Jen! I like the low-light on the building (but yet, very good definition)....it makes the light in the lantern room really stand out.
Very nice!

Nicely done!

What was causing the light on the front of the building?

Ross, *bad* joke... :P

Stephen, I think there was a ground level floodlight on the lighthouse, accenting it. I didn't look too closely as my mom was hollering at me to hurry up, so I snapped off 9-10 images as fast as I could while positioning my tripod in the odd spot it was - front leg on the curb, back two legs on the street, and high enough to get over the fence!

Wait until you guys see Admirality Head...
