Been off line for some time and I'm back on board. Most of my time has been in the shop working on Hood Canal Point Lighthouse, a 14 foot light that got hamered in a wind storm we had last year. And my computer took a hit as well. Well the computer is working now and I kept working in the shop. this week we roll out the rebuilt lighthouse, she is all new again. All new wiring, new lights inside and the lamp room has a new motor turning 1.3 rpm. new paint job inside and out side. In fact the hole top part of the lighthouse is all new. She is six inches higher and a few lbs more making her 650 lbs in all. I will add the photos soon as I can. Eternal Sea Point Memorial Lighthouse has been up dated as well, we now have a fog bell along with the fog horn. Soon as the rain stops around here she will get some needed paint work. Some of you folks have a summer right now, we on the other hand or still waiting for it to happen. Last yeasr we had about nine days of summer, this year could be less. As for the 30 foot lighthouse, some parts or being made now. The building way has to built first before I can start building the lighthouse. I'm sure this lighthouse will come out of the shop at around two tons. The glass alone will be about 100 lbs, two lamp on top of this one. I don't think there is a lighthouse in the world with two lamp rooms, if there is I'm sure some one will tell me. This design has been in the works for some time now and I can't wait to get going on it. Should take about a year and half to build this one, maybe less. I will post a new photo of Eternal Sea light soon, new ground work has been done around the light. Most of that work was done in the rain but we got it done. Many folks have been by to look at the light and if any of you folks our out this way, stop in, the coffee is always on. So there you have it for now from Nordic Finn Lighthouse in Seabeck, Washington. As some say, the left coast. "Boats. Al.

First, Leah. Thank You for posting my photos, you our the best. Hersh O-boy, I can count on you for posting a good ship and tug picture, I love them steel canns. You know if I could go back to sea right now, my wife would put a foot up my stern side. So I'll watch ships and tug pass me by this time. I'm trying to find a lifeboat too buy, just in case I have that sinking feeling from my wife. =)) she is in her bunk and can't hear me saying this. "Boats"

Coming back on line is about the same as bring an old ship back in commission, lite off the boilors and bring her steam up slow. And I've done that many times. The restoration went well but slow, Hood Canal Point Light was built in 1999, with all the updates I put in was the hard part. Had to open her up and get in there and clean and repaint plus change all the wiring, build a new top half and so on. She now is ready to go back to work on the Hood Canal. Next we bring her out side and stand her up next too Eternal Sea Point light for pictures with me dressed up as the lighthouse keeper. My work was cut out for me thanks to the weather. So if I build them, I repair them, you might say I'm the keeper of two lights. How fun is that, had to build a lighthouse to become a lighthouse keeper. What a deal. Kinnakeet, hi back to ya, some new folks come on line during my off line time, good ya all here. Make fast and send your remarks, I love a good remark now and then. =)) Keep lines out of the water. Well I've been off the line again for some time, working on the Birthday bash for ETERNAL SEA POINT MEMORIAL LIGHTHOUSE. One month to go and a little work left yet to do. Plus some shop work on just the shop, making room for the 30 foot lighthouse. cutting down brush for the 30 footer's pad. But I do read on what you folks or up too, just too far away to add much on what you folks do. Any way Sept 18th is the big day. If you should be out this way, let me know. :D
