Well I haven't been to this particular Lightstation for about 7 years- we were there when the Coast guard helicopter was landing with the aids to Navigation team was just getting ready to leave.

We were actually at the Cabrillo Monument National Park yesterday. It's nowhere near Pt. Cabrillo, though. It's in San Diego and you do get to tour Old Point LomaLighthouse and it's museum in the Assistant Keeper's House.

You also get a birds eye view of New Point Loma from behind Old Point Loma and you can drive down to New Point Loma- but you can't get too close as it's an active Coast Guard Station with locked gates.
