First of all Mike I loved the picture of South Haven. A+++.

Barry, thank for posting the words to the song Blue Moon. Even if it is not a picture of a blue moon the picture you posted of the Blue Lighthouse will do.

Mike,

As it has already been stated, nice photo!

I don't know what time mine was taken, but it is an evening shot that I took in 2002 before I knew really anything about photography.

'Great pho-topic, Gary! 'A lot of interesting stuff, here! :)

Thanks,
Brent

P.S. Everytime I see that shot of Pigeon Point, thoughts of
Virginia Wolfe come to mind.

I never thought of any hour associated with a color; but if you get to the BLACK HOUR I "gots tons" =))

I know Gary has some from this evening too, I guess I beat him to posting them. This was an awesome blue hour after a crummy evening and nonexistent sunset.

Thanks for this post. I am looking at all these great pictures and thinking about how many times I have taken shots like that. It is making me go back to a lot of old pictures I took at the "blue" hour. Now I think some of them actually look ok.

On an evening trip to St Joe to photograph the sunset, the sky was flat and uniformly dark, with a seam in the clouds far out over the lake. Having driven out, I waited... The sun slipped through that slit in the clouds and was visible, albeit severely attenuated by the mist and haze, giving a red ball just over the catwalk. This was shot on Fuji Velvia accentuating the blue color cast.
