I wouldn't worry too much about that, especially in low light. Just find an area that looks pretty neutral and go with it.

Larry, I never understood metering the way it needed to be until I got the digital SLR. The instantaneous feedback it gives has allowed me to improve so much! Trial and error is the best teacher.

Well, maybe I have a few more blue hour shots to post...

Here's another from South Haven, this time a winter shot.

I noticed the photo taken from Cape Propoise. You do not as a rule see too many shots of this lighthouse.

Mike,

Cool photo! Was the ice in the foreground moving?

I found a secret closer angle for Goat island, I'll have to post when I get back up there. :)

I haven't done much in the way of morning or evening shots lately, save the sunset cruise for Portsmouth. Really no good colors or clouds in the sunset this year.

Ross - You are not the only one that knows of another or even several great places to photograph Goat Island from. I have been checking this area out from time to time. I also am checking out several other lighthouses in my neck of the ocean.

Thanks Stephen, yes the ice is moving in that shot. It was moving slowly, but this shot was probably 15-30 seconds, so it didn't take much.

Mike, I always did like that shot of South Haven. How early were you up and how cold was it again?!

Speaking of Goat Island - another one from my Rhode Island trip that fits into this category due to the incoming storm...probably not a secret spot though!!

Jen, I love that picture. :D Little Sable is one of my favorites. I definately need to shoot some "blue" pictures.
