I dont know, really ... I remember hauling it, thinking I had a chance to get there at dusk ... hoping that the gray day I had experienced the preceding twelve or so hours would evaporate into some kind of shot that said more than "I was there ..."

Gray ... gray ... gray ... and then moments before the sun would have completely set, a sliver opened up ... a tad ... a dollup ... a smidge of sun shone thru ... and this is what was available ...

The sun was gone as quickly as it appeared ... I had maybe ten minutes of light ... this is what I got ... I always liked it

I was there for sunrise Christmas morning. I would have been quite happy to something like that, as opposed to the gray that I saw. This is a tough light to shoot anyway, based on my one and only time being there. There just isn't anywhere to shoot it from that doesn't require you to be right up at the tower with a WIDE lens. That 10 minutes of light was worth "hauling it" Barry.

Barry this a wonderful photo. I like it - I love it. It has a WOW factor. I could say what I like about it, however bottom line is I than I want to look at this photo again and again. It makes me want to take a second and third look at it.

Nice shot indeed. I really like the shadow of the branches on the tower. Days like those make for great memories. I have one like that at White River from last winter. Thanks for sharing it.
