Hello! Just wondering if any of you guys have any lighthousing plans on Memorial Day weekend? Or, if you know of any events at or near any lighthouses for that weekend?

I'll be hitting some lights out in Indiana and Michigan around that weekend.

I'll be fishing, but a long way from any lighthouses....

At Portsmouth Lighthouse, we'll have our first open house of the year on the 27th, complete with the newly built and painted walkway (i'll post the pics once we put the second coat on this weekend)

I have a gig with the band on Saturday night, and leave for my fishing trip on the Wednesday following. !

Esther and I will be spending Friday afternoon 5-25 doing an Outreach for the NJLHS at the Farley Rest Stop on the Atlantic city Expressway.

We do 3-4 of these every year at various places for the NJLHS.

We have been throwing around the idea of taking off somewhere lighthousing. If I had to guess, most likely the OBX, but were not sure yet.

Not sure what we will be doing over the weekend, but the day after Memorial Day, my oldest daughter is graduation from high school. Yeah, Kris!

I don't travel anywhere on Memorial Day weekend, not with LBI within 10 minutes of my house! LOL

Actually, my stepson has visitation with his father in West Virginia, that weekend, and I'll be riding down to Virginia Friday and Monday to meet halfway.

But who knows? Maybe Sunday I'll take a ride somewhere. I doubt it, though. I try to do my one-day lighthousing trips on Thursdays and Fridays when I have lighter work days and can get out for a half-day.

But no matter what I do. I wish all of you the best on your tips to wherever you're going that weekend. Enjoy! :D

Ross,

Would love to! I think New England is a bit far to travel for the weekend though. :(
