I got a great piece of news this week that I wanted to share with y'all. I now have a store to retail my prints!! The proprietor of Edgewater Gifts in St. Joe contacted me asking about carrying my work, and after showing her some samples (half of which she bought on the spot) we came to an agreement for her to carry my prints regularly. She has ordered a pretty large number of matted prints, which will keep my Epson humming for a while, so there'll be a nice assortment there. Of course, nearly all of them will be of the St. Joe lights, but if people start requesting other lights I'm sure she'll broaden her selection.

So, if you're ever in St. Joe, stop by Edgewater Gifts on State St. and you can say, "I know that guy..."

Very cool! Congratulations.

By the way, I looked for your calendar a couple of times but never found it. If it's still for sale, I'll check again since the lighthousing.net calendar was canceled.

I just seen a few in the Michaels by my house when I was there a few days ago. There were not many of the lighthouse ones, but plenty of the other kinds, so Mike's were selling well by me.

Kathy, if I can't find more of the calendars around here I might ask you to pick me up a few & ship 'em to me. I owe one person in particular that's being pretty vocal and I don't want her to hurt me next time she's around. :-SS

Just let me know. I live pretty close to 2 Micheals and I am not too far away from a couple more. That is one of the few advantages of living in a big city. There is always another mall not far away. I seen both the big and small calenders.

I just picked up 3 of them in Bloomington IL this afternoon. They must have lowered their pricing with 2008 drawing near. All 16 month wall calendars are now $1. Seems that's giving them away to clear stock out.

Rob ... I bought two of Mike's calendar for a buck each back in August. The Michael's by me has been selling them at $1 since they put them into the store. I don't know what the deal is with Michael's giving away calendars for that price, but I don't think it has nothing to do with year-end inventory. At least not with the stores by me.

Mike ... If you need more, I can see if any are left at the Michael's by me and send them your way. Just let me know.

I stand corrected.

The lady at the register told me she had bought one of Mike's calendars as well, because she's from California and needed something with water on it.

I haven't been in a Michael's in years but getting out and going for a little drive beat sitting in a hotel room all day watching football and kicking around every nuclear site that popped up online. I had wanted to run up this weekend and catch part of Wisconsin or more of Michigan, but this wintry mix kept me from bothering with hundreds of miles of driving I didn't have to do.

Thanks David, but I picked up the last ten at the next closest store to me last week. I think that'll hold me over.

And it'll hold Leah over too, if I ever get one in the mail to her.
