Thanks all, some of it I'm not too happy with photographically, but I did manage to get around in 2007. I didn't realize it till I started posting these and looking at all the non-lighthouse ones as well :)

The aerials were fun, I'm making it a priority to do at least one helicopter trip per year over different places. I'm not a fan of flying, but helicopters don't seem to bother me too much. :)

Ross ... Nice collection ... some not too often seen ... thanks for sharing

Looking at that aerial of Whaleback, where you going to hitch up a boat to that pile of rocks should FPHL take stewardship ...

Great stuff, Ross!

And Barry ... If you look at the photo, near the top of where the lighthouse is standing (I believe this could be the north side of the lighthouse), there looks to be a little spot there a row boat might be able to grab onto something! 8O

It would be in the little cove, it's shallow(er) and has the potential for a floating removable dock. It's about the northwest side.. during high tide, most of those rocks are submerged. It'll be a challenge, to say the least!

Thanks again!

Some great images and variety. It's nice to see some aerials. Do you shoot through the window on a helicopter?

I did very little lighthousing in 2007. Saw 5 or 6 during my trip to Maine in June and went to Split Rock once in late winter and again November 10 and 11. I think that's it. Hope to see more in 2008.

Actually Jeremy (keeper) and I were in the copter with the door off! It was quite frightening at times, moreso fear of dropping my camera out the door :) We were bounding between quite an altitude range at times, but it was fun

Ross, I still have a hard time imagining you flying of your own free will, let alone with the doors off of the chopper! Amazing! 8O

Congratulations for conquering your fears to get such awesome photos! :D
