Couldn't resist.... got this from a friend today in Michigan where they've had two feet of the white stuff the past couple of days :!:

Getting back to the business at hand, I finally got the last of my slides from this trip back this week, and I found some gold. Winter sunset shots with reflection. It was a good day...

And Portrait composition...

That's about it for this trip, and I'd say it's plenty.

Now we can get back to squirrel posts. I'm done.

The last one posted is the one that does it for me, Mike. Nice one :!: The reflection of the light in the lantern room of the inner light is a tough capture against the sky and you've about got it as good as it gets in that image.

Yeah, it can be tricky, but the light levels were just right so that I could get it. I wish I could have shot some more of these, but the light was fading fast and I was running long exposures (as you might have guessed), so my opportunities were limited.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's no replacing velvia for this kind of shooting. I love it !!!!!

And Leah, Gary passed "Just a little" squirrelly a long, long time go.

Great photos, Mike. I like the detail in the lantern of the rear lighthouse and the colours in the sky. How much snow do you still have over in Indiana? The meltdown has begun on the Canadian side of the Lakes.

"a little squirrelly" doesn't come close, Leah... Mike's right :!:

The nice thing about knowing that you're insane, however, is that you quit worrying about apologizing and really start to enjoy your insanity

Thanks for the kudos all, I'm glad you enjoyed this set. I know I had a blast shooting them. And an even bigger one seeing the finished product.

Alan, our snow is gone - we've had a big thaw, then it snowed again, now it's melted again, hopefully for good this time. It's been a weird winter this year, a lot of up & down.
