It's been a while since I've had the time to post photos, but I now have a couple that fit nicely into this thread.
Last week my lovely wife and I took our first vacation since the boys were born, which was a much needed respite. Anyway, we stayed with our friends the Feltners on Drummond Island, which is just off the extreme eastern tip of the UP of Michigan. One night we sat out on the deck watching the sun set over Lake Huron and the DeTour Reef Light. Of course, this being one of the busiest intersections in the great lakes, there were ships passing.. So, I got shots of two of them passing by the DRL under a fiery setting sun. Nice...
This was the first ship that passed, there was enough light that I could get it at low ISO with little motion blur.
This one, however, was tougher. Once I remembered to crank up the ISO she was almost on top of the lighthouse. So not my ideal shot, but I like it anyway.
