I went to Manteo for the first viewing, in North Carolina, of the USCG docamentary film of Pea Island LSS last night! It was GREAT!! We had the USCG, local dignataries, decendants of the surfmen and a big crowd of people who, like me, had an interest in Dare County, Pea Island and the USLSS. It is a MUST see if this is in your interest!!

Murray,
I'm SO glad you got to go! I know it's worth seeing, so I will be sure to catch it at Chicamacomico when they reopen this spring.

They wouldnt allow cameras!! The film is federal property and no cameras were allowed in the room!

I was in the audience too! They had 237 seats filled and the room seats 248. It was really a well thought out documentry and I hope someone comes along and takes it further. Linda Malloy from CLSS was excellant on stage. It was wonderful to see so many folks ( a lot of friends and associates) out for a good time on a Saturday night. :D

I am glad that there was such a good turnout. Hopefully this will spark a major interest in LSS's.

Chicamacomico LSS will open for the season, April 18. The Pea Island film will be available for viewing there, and I'm looking forward to seeing it.
