Thanksgiving Day, while the turkey was roasting, the family rode down the beach past Corolla.

Stephen, please tell me if this is the Currituck LSS I was looking at. The distance would seem right. And thanks for posting your wonderful information giving me the idea to look for this.

My personal disclaimer - Because of the turkey time constraints, I only climbed over one dune and my camera lens is not capable of a lot, so these photos are only "proof" to me that I actually went there. For great close-ups, look on Stephen's site!

Making the trip down the beach that much more fun, our transportation was my son's new H3...

Of course, I had to promise to help him clean all the sand out of the door crevices when we got back to the beach house.

What a great Thanksgiving day activity Judy! I really like the first photo in the set but I'm sure you would have guessed that I would! Hey, when do I get to have another spin in the Hummer? I bet the beach is a lot more fun to ride on than the speed bumps of Virginia! :D
