The three options presented were the stabilization of the current building and minimal removal of the seawall around the area at a cost of $145,000, stabilizing the building to last and overhauling the seawall at a cost of $865,000, and the elimination of the seawall and demolition of the building, with a replacement of a galvanized steel frame — a scale model of which was on display for councilors — for a cost of about $342,600.
Krystian Kozlowski, a senior who was the project manager for the study, said the goal was to investigate alternatives to revamping the aging, iconic station.
