Yesterday I drove up to Michael's in South Portland. I was able to buy the calendars in both sizes. I will admit that I bought more than one of each of them.

The calendars for those of you who have not seen them are Super. The photos are A+, the price is a dollar a piece with a listing of USA $9.95 CAN $13.95 these are bargains. Mike's web site is listed in a very clear way on the back of the large one. I do hope this means lots of people orders photo's from it. It also says some about Mike Hershberger Photography. Yes!!!

Now, Mike is correct the paper each size was printed on was on the thin side. This does not matter to me because of where I will be hanging them.

I was told that Mike's large size one is selling great. Alright I got the last of the large size ones. The store is next door to a Christmas Tree Shop. A side note some people love the Christmas Tree Shop. Other people would rather spend a day or two days in hell than step foot in one. I saw several of those types hanging in the parking lot.

It looks this calendar is going to be a sell out.

Way to go Mike!

Mike,

Congratulations on the calendar! I'm very excited for you. I would be happy to have just one photo in a calendar for sale, and you got your own calendar. Very cool. I haven't had a chance to look for it yet, but I hope to this weekend.

Mike ... Are your calendars supposed to be in all Michaels stores? I haven't seen it in the one closest to me yet. Or perhaps they were hiding them? I'm hoping that they just sold out already, but that would seem unlikely considering it is only July.

David, if there's a big display of calendars, that's it. They only have the one source as far as I know. If they aren't in there, either they're sold out or they opened the boxes with a different assortment inside.

Thanks, Mike. I guess I'll keep looking. I didn't notice any calendar display in the nearby Michaels. Maybe they just didn't put them out yet, which would be crazy since Atlantic Books two doors down already has its calendar display rocking and rolling.

The manager I spoke with said that they will keep getting all the calendars in to the end of December. They get a stock of various calendars in, the stock gets low and they get more.

You also need to ask to speak with the manager on duty if you do not see any calendars out or they do not have the ones you want. The calendars and other items may be in storage area. This is true of most stories and shops.

I had them set aside the small calendars (which at first could not be found) They had not been put out yet. I looked on my own and found the big ones. (they had come in after I called).

What I was told was by two store managers is that calendars at least here in Maine (vacation land) sell out during the summer months. They do not always get in new shipments of them right away.

I hope this is of some help to folks who are calendar searching.

Good news ... I walked into Michaels after stopping by the car dealership's shop to get our minivan, took a look around and found Mike's elusive calendar. 8O Actually, I was right ... the Michaels store near me didn't have them out yet when I first looked, because two weeks ago I walked by the same spot they are in now and they weren't there.

So, now that I found them, I know where to get them if I want more than the two I got today. I didn't thoroughly inspect the calendars yet (still in the van), but from what I've seen it looks pretty darned good.

I picked up a couple of the wall calendars today at Michaels in White Marsh, MD. They didn't have any of the smaller ones.

Nicely done, Mike!

Just thought I'd post an update, I found out today that the company elected not to do the 2 year planners with my shots in them, so you can stop looking for that. Too bad too, I actually wanted one of those for my use. But hey, they paid me for it, so who cares!!

If all looks good I may be doing one for 2009 as well, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks again to all of you who have purchased the calendar, I hope you really enjoy it.

(Leah, I haven't forgotten about you my darlin)

This is hilarious.... While poking around the net tonight I happened to find one of my calendars listed on e-bay through a google search. So I decided to go and see how many people were selling them on there, and I was pretty surprised.

The funniest one I saw though was this one. Don't take my word for it, just check it out and get a good laugh.
