From the link posted by Kevin
http://www.lighthouse.net.au/lights/VIC/Queenscliff%20Black/Black%20Lighthouse%20Queenscliff.htm
it was stated that "Queenscliff's famous Black Lighthouse is one of only 3 of this colour in the world.".

What are the other two?

For sure,

The hideously ugly Tongue Point (CT) is one ...

Garden Key (Fort Jefferson), Florida

Image

Please excuse my crooked photo but I was more concerned about not falling off the fort. I'll do better next time (I'm going back in May).

Maybe this does not count since technically it is a harbor light?

I'm not sure whether Bolivar Pt., TX is black or not (I've always thought of it as being black :))

(I think there are more than three in the world)

The two black lighthouses in reference to the statement on the site above apparently are: Ballycotton (Ireland) and Bolivar. I thought there might be more than those.

Island,

I think that you are correct if you don't count ugly little metal ones.
I guess we would have to start the whole "what is a lighthouse?" debate again

How about the ugly big metal ones?

Finns Point, Tinicum, Reedy Island, Bellvue, Liston...all black

ugly little metal ones.

Are they ugly because they are little or because they are metal?

I too have wondered about that statement on LoA's web site. I suspect they are referring to:-
1. proper lighthouses and,
2. lighthouses made from stone or other material which has a natural blackish colour rather than something that has been painted.

Kevin. There is more on this subject on Mac Gregory's site: Ahoy - Mac's Web Log
http://ahoy.tk-jk.net/macslog/LightHousesontheVictorian.html
(It is an interesting site also with numerous articles and stories. One could spend hours there.)

Thanks for the link. He has made a couple of erroneous comments that I picked up in my quick scan of the page. Port Lonsdale should be Point Lonsdale and the lighthouse there and Queenscliffe lighthouses are on the same side of the heads into the Rip ie the Western side. He said they are on opposite heads.

The Black Lighthouse at Queenscliffe is natural dark stone, almost black. It is not painted despite what he says. I have been there.
