"Well, what do you do with these kind of questions?" More appropriately is "What do you do with a guy that asks these kinds of questions?" :)

While we are at it, does Sanda have a fog signal and if so what is the characteristic? If no fog signal the solar array seems very large to power only a blinking light. Also does it still have a Fresnel lens?

This is interesting. I found a photo of the lighthouse taken from the sea side.

Frans, Thanks for posting these photos. The first photo clearly shows how this light station appears from the water. It certainly does look like there is no Fresnel in the lantern. David

Sanda had on automation a PRB46 revolving lamp array .

I know the lamp array at Douglas Head is 2.4 kwatt,if Sanda's was near that rating it would explain the large solar array?

The fog signal was discontinued before automation.

Frans, I agree with what you posted on the photo taken from the sea. It is a very impressive photo. Their have to be other photos taken from other directions somewhere on the web.
