:D Hi Peter - Yes, the Currituck Beach Lighthouse is open for visitors. My wife and I were there on the seventh of April and were warmly greeted at the gate by Jenn and John. What a fantastic job they have done along with the OBC in restoring and preserving this beautiful, historic lighthouse! The Outer Banks Conservationists are due congratulations from the citizens of North Carolina and especially those living in Corolla and Currituck County. I also think that we should put an end to this topic so people don't think that they have actually decided to erect a fence.
My best,
Paul Conlin

Paul, as a side note, Judy informed me that Jenn is leaving as keeper in the near future.

Judy said that she is expecting, so I guess that is the primary reason. I will see if I can find out more.

Here is the scoop directly from Melody!

Stephen,

Yes, it is true; Jenn and John are leaving us. We have already interviewed and hired replacements that are arriving tomorrow. Meghan Agresto will take over Jenn’s job as site manager and Luis Garcia will take over John’s job as lightkeeper. Sad to see them go! Meghan and Luis have a 10 month old baby and will be living in the new keeper’s house once it is completed.
