Our State Magazine will be showing a program on WUNC-TV May 4th at 8pm. The first segment will be about NC lighthouses. They filmed at Currituck last year so it will be nice to see the outcome. Below are the 3 segments airing in 1 hour. Melody

Lighthouses-- In the late 18th Century, North Carolina's lighthouses were more than just an aid to ocean navigation; they were a testament to the new nation's economic stability. Today, the lighthouses from Currituck Beach to Oak Island draw thousands of visitors a year. Folks come to take pictures and contemplate what the lonely life of a lighthouse keeper was like. North Carolina lighthouse expert Cheryl Shelton-Roberts takes us on a tour of these majestic structures.

Makes me wish I still lived in NC. But I do subscribe to "Our State" magazine and every May they do a "lighthouse" issue. This issue has pictures of the NC lights and usally stores about each of the comunities they are in.

It would be interesting to see how they present this.

Did anyone else catch the show?

It was good and informative but I thought it was to quick and jumped around to much between the different lights.
