It's getting close. Once again, I face one of my worst fears and hop on a bucket of tin and launch 35,000 feet in the air and hope it comes down in once piece in the right airport.

Anyone else making the trip down or up to the weekend this year!?

I'll be there!

But since I'm driving, I won't be flying...AGAIN. Can't afford any more speeding tickets! 8O

Yeah, Roll Call. Who's planning this trip?

Hey, are we staying at your house, Dawn? \:D/
Speaking of driving/flying, you won't have far to go.

You'll be fine Ross, you'll be fine. I'll be flying out to Hawaii the following weekend so the quick flight South to Norfolk will be a nice warm up. I'll be sure to have a few tranquilizers waiting for ya when ya get off the plane, otherwise we'll have a very long drive from Norfolk to the OBX. 8O

For sure my loss,

... but this autumn I am committed in time to Jeremy's Maine excursion earlier in October. I'll be able to bounce around the state a day or two on either side ... I want to see the new museum in Rockland ... the museum in Wells ... and to correct my prior idiocy by seeing the Doubling Point RANGE lights this time ... there's also a couple of lights I would like to see again.

... while I doubt I'll get any opposition, if allowed I'll bring the first toasting with Corona's for Ross' safe passage to the OBX.

... his safe return as well

Any ideas about the cost of dinner/ticket?

When will raffle tickets be available and what are the prizes?

Judy, do we get to visit the Oregon Inlet Coast Guard Station??? jk

To respond to Beth's questions...
We should hear soon the registration fee which includes the dinner ticket, and the definite intinary; that will come from Bett Padgett who is the Events Chairman, and I know that she has just about finalized it. For those who can't join us for the entire weekend, we can prorate cost.

With the raffle, I do have some control. 8O Look for the tickets by the end of Aug. or mid September.

Oregon Inlet Coast Guard Station? :-k Gee, Beth, have you asked Bett to include that? It's not in her plans at the moment, but maybe if you explained the benefits?
