What questions have you asked that have not been answered? This group has always been helpful and friendly, especially if someone is able to give some advice or info concerning the lights.

I'd love to go to Keepers' weekend and meet some new friends and tour the lights, but everyone here seems to already know each other. And whenever I have a question about it, no one responds. I feel left out, like no one wants include me, and I don't really feel welcome.

Philly, but you ARE a part of this group already! We do hope you will attend in October, and any of the OBLHS members who participate here at LH.Net will tell you, that you will instantly make new friends and meet in person, the friends you've already made here.

Both Shirin and I have enthusiastically responded to your emails, and we're delighted to have you as a new member. If there are unanswered questions, please ask me, and I'm sure Shirin would also respond if asked. We both look forward to meeting you.

Not many of us here at LH.Net knew each other before we started posting here. This message board is a friendly place filled with people who all have something in common- their love of lighthouses. Many of us have met in person through participation at various lighthousing events up and down the coast, the Great Lakes region, and other parts of the country. So that definitely is one of the keys - go to as many events as possible - and be sure to introduce yourself! What fun it is when we are able to meet someone in person for the first time who we've been talking to on-line.

You are part of the group- here at LH.net, as a new member of OBLHS, and in the lighthousing community as a whole. :D

Sorry if I sounded so cold, it's just that I'm a little shy and it can be hard for me making friends. I try to post interesting stuff, and I thought maybe some people thought I was boring. Hopefully I can come and meet everyone at Keppers' Weekend! I really want to meet new lighthouse friends and see Hatteras! :D

Trust me, cold is never a way to make friends. :) No one here would treat anyone poorly at anytime, or they deal with me. :)

Marshmallow: A soft spongy confection

Something to add to a warm cozy cup of cocoa.
    VERY squeezable!
Something to jazz up a sweet potato casserole
Something to hold over a hot glowing fire...eeek!

Are we talking about the big guys...or those minnies?

Ross? A marshmallow? What an image! 8O

Oh Yes It Is!!!! =)) =)) :-({|= :P

Miss Hatteras!!! Please don't feel that way! I've only been a member of this group since June 2004. Great place, great friends, great info, and more!

Do feel welcomed to join us here, or at any events. I didn't know anyone either until I joined the OBLHS. Jump in! The waters are warm. So drop your anchor, get comfy....because we're all here for the long haul!!!

Hope to meet you in Oct.
