Alright we all have seen lighthouse license plates on the road, but usually you have to pay extra to get one. While the money goes some good causes, the initial and renewal costs can be steep. Well lighthouse buffs in Mississippi have a reason to jump fo r joy, the next standard issue license plate will feature a lighthouse. EVERY NEW CAR registered after October 2007 will recieve these plates! Attached is a link to the picture!!

Rising sun ... or setting sun ?

Cool! :) "Hats off" to the folks of Mississippi for making it a standard plate!

Brent

P.S. Rising sun or setting sun? IMHO, I guess it could got either way because of the semetry of the LH graphic.

Just an update the plate will make it's debut in October of 2007 and according to another article the old plates will be totally phased out by September of 2008!! Kind of neat because the VP of the ARLHS lives in Mississippi!

Today is October 1 that means the new Mississippi lighthouse license plates are available!! Like I send back in March these are now the standard plates, there aren't any "'extra fees" to get these plates, unlike other lighthouse license plates! All Mississippi lighthouse buffs have to do is turn your old plates in and get new ones!!
