It mentions that the Ponce de leon light is the 2nd tallest "brick" lighthouse in the nation. I'm assuming that Cape Hatteras is the tallest brick lighthouse which has me wondering now as to which is the tallest metal lighthouse, wooden structure(?) lighthouse, etc? :-)

Eric, the Statue of Liberty is the tallest :D , then your Cape Haterras, then Cape Charles (from my home state) then Ponce.

One day the person at ponce was saying they were the tallest brick lighthouse on their original foundation...go figure.

But ponce lighthouse is still the tallest in Florida. Pensacola has the highest focal point in Florida.
