Just got back from the Florida Lighthouse Association meeting and found out Pensacola Lighthouse is closed. It is normally opened on Sundays, Spring to Fall, however, the Coast Guard Auxially and the
Coast Guard had some kind of disagreement, so the Coast Guard closed the tower. The grounds are still open. Some members from the Florida Lighthouse Association are working to fix this and one of the members is a retired Coast Guard person.

Were they charging admission to climb the tower? If they were, you would think that they would miss the income by closing it.

Lets hope they open it back up soon!

No costs to climb, when it was opened.
