Very cool... I just realized the other day that the present Barnegat Lighthouse is going to be 150 soon. Jan. 1, 2009 is not that far off. I may organize a birthday party at one of the pavilions for New Year's Eve next year. LOL :lol:

What a cool event, sounds like a good time. I only visited Assateague once, but I know that it really is a special place.

In addition to the great memories of the lighthouse, every time I see something about Assateague I think of the amazing seafood lunch we had in Chincoteague that day. Soft crab sandwich and a cup of crab chowder. I'm almost drooling now...

I was there this past Monday. It is a beautiful spot to visit. I must say that the tower is in serious need of some paint!
