I finally am getting some time to post a few pics taken from the trip Tim and I took. He got ahead of me in posting his though :D. I did see with my 50-500 lens @ 500 that the entire top of the lighthouse is wrapped with wires in all fashions. Looks a bit ugly and hopefully they will fix it rather then just wire everything together.

Anyway here's a few of my favorite shots. How much I wish I was still there and not living up here.

Personally, I think number three ... it just captures both the massiveness and the strength of these structures ... oh yes, and the perspective with the moon ... that works well, too!

Looks like Bodie is in Jr. high, braces and all !!!

Nice job getting the moon in those shots, I found when I was down there that the moon can be a great part of shooting such tall towers.

Thanks for the nice compliments replies. I also like # 3 alot and like getting the moon in too if I can....adds to the photo for sure so I was glad we had a chance to do so.

And very funny about the braces! Tee hee :D :lol:

I found that picture number 3 to be very Gothic in nature. You put in a poem next to it that is dark and deathly. Or it could be used in a movie that is of the film nouar type.

Thanks again for the compliments. Carole....that does look gothic doesnt it? Maybe that's why I like that one alot too
