The first bricks of the rebuilding of the Cape St. George lighthouse were laid today.

On Saturday Dec 8th the Crooked River lighthouse was re-lit.

Both items are on the Cape St. George lighthouse website.

Great news! It's exciting to see this work getting done at Cape St George, I'm glad it's not ending up like Round Island, MS
As for Crooked River, also great news but I have to wonder why this wasn't publicized more

Zachary, some of these groups don't have lighthouse nuts like me and don't think beyond the local newspaper. The only way I knew was from the Cape St. George Lighthouse calendar of events and only then at the last minute. Susan and I did see the re-lighting.
