I got to climb Ponce Dec, 06. The entire station & grounds are beautifully maintained and the folks who volunteer there are informative, enthusastic, and wonderul hosts.

Our LH.net member, Jim Woodward and team removed and restored the First Fresnel lens which is displayed in the exibit building.

A couple photos from my visit...

Rotating First Order Fresnel lens that was used in the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse from 1868 to 1993, and the First Order lens that was used in the Ponce lighthouse from 1933 to 1970.

For me, it was a perfect get away day from a Disney vacation.

Will do Eric. That trip was brief & tied totaly into the family's planning. I was very lucky to get them to lighthouse with me briefly.
