I was in Daytona for a week in April 2007 to give a plenary lecture at an international scientific meeting. I took my cameras and got to spend a good bit of time at Ponce Inlet and have to reiterate Red's comment about the quality of the lighthouse museum. It is truly a must see :!:

One bright day, I was truly captivated by the refractions in the rotating Cape Canaveral Fresnel lens on display there. Looking over the images (more than 70 of them) that I captured that afternoon, I was never able to decide on one of them to print. I decided to solve that dilemma by taking the segments that I liked best from a number of the images and assembling them into a Fresnel mosaic. Here's the result...

After giving a lecture like that... getting those images was probably pure pleasure.
Very Nice Gary !!!
Those images, and the way you put them in mosaic are an art!

Thanks for sharing ..

Stunningly beautiful mosaic. You should market that as a poster!

I agree with Mike although I would put a shot of the lighthouse itself right in the middle. Some may think it might ruin the poster, but I think it would look really neat!!

I've sold a significant number of 8x10 prints of the Fresnel lens mosaic in 11x14 mats at arts and crafts shows this year. The problem with doing a poster is the initial print run outlay, which is pricey to say the least... Something to think about thought, to be sure.
