I was in Daytona for a week in April 2007 to give a plenary lecture at an international scientific meeting. I took my cameras and got to spend a good bit of time at Ponce Inlet and have to reiterate Red's comment about the quality of the lighthouse museum. It is truly a must see
One bright day, I was truly captivated by the refractions in the rotating Cape Canaveral Fresnel lens on display there. Looking over the images (more than 70 of them) that I captured that afternoon, I was never able to decide on one of them to print. I decided to solve that dilemma by taking the segments that I liked best from a number of the images and assembling them into a Fresnel mosaic. Here's the result...
