Does anyone know what they're doing at the Cape Hatteras lighthouse? I'm watching the web cam religiously and it looks like they have a crew there doing work. I haven't been able to find any news online about it though.

I am by no means "in the loop" when it comes to East Coast lighthouses, but I did hear somewhere that Gary Knappenberger had been contacted to cast and replace a number of the stairs at Hatteras. Nothing definitive - mere conjecture.
