April 4th, 2009 the Cape St. George Lighthouse dedication took place to celebrate the re-building of the Lighthouse.
Post are a few pictures. I tried to do a 4th but somehow I could not get it to upload (perhaps a new thread how to correctly upload pictures).

Pinke is a County Commissioner who also had a good speech. You can see it was windy (but no rain).

Neil Hurley retired Coast Guard and Florida Lighthouse Assocation Historian was the main speaker. He did a great job as he always does.

Eric ... Thanks for sharing the event.

A curious question ... you posted the picture of Miss Pincke ... what might the county's involvement with the reconstruction have been?
Believe those who search for the truth ...
Doubt those who find it ...

Grover in answer to your questions and a few other facts:

The Lighthouse is located in a County Park. They also gave funds to improve the park.
The Lighthouse is owned by the State.
The Lighthouse will be runned by the St. George Lighthouse Association.
The visitor center was build with funds from the local tourist group (not sure of the name at the moment).
Prisoners built the visitor center and the benches around the park.
Some of the work on the lighthouse like the shutters were made by volunteers in and around the island.

Pinke's last name is Jackel.
President of Florida Keys Reef Lights Foundation, Godfather of Jones Point River Lighthouse, member and EVP of Florida Lighthouse Association and member of other lighthouse groups.
