It looks as though they'll have 'lots of events planned for the celebration. I'm hoping to attend some of them, in October.

The Park Service has planned a celebration of all former lighthouse keepers, life saving service members or their descendants. I posted info at my site:

Where I met Judy and Leah, Ross for the first time and Shirin for the second ... Beth who I miss here in the forums and Betty as well ... though a member for years, it was the first OBLHS event I had attended ... such great memories, especially the ride on the "shark boat" over to the light
