I don't know where that 250 watt bulb idea persists. :roll:

It's undoubtedly 1,000 watts, as all the lower wattage bulbs were replaced years ago. At Pemaquid Point, the sign describing the Fresnel has the fact it's a 250 watter. I and one other would cover it up, replace it with 1,000, and the guy that had the sign made kept tearing it down. He wouldn't believe it was wrong until we took him up and showed him. #-o
