Pemaquid Receives $50,000 Grant fm Lowes/National Trust

The American Lighthouse Foundation, owner of the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse has received a $50,000 grant to repair and restore the exterior masonry of the 1835 structure.

The grant comes from Lowe's, the national building supply company, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, D.C.

Definitely some good news for Pemaquid. I'm sure it will help in the restoration efforts. And I agree, Barry ... Should get some people's dander up. Stay tuned.
