Gannett gives $66,000 in grants to 11 organizations

Squan Beach Life Saving Station Preservation Committee Inc., Manasquan, was given $2,500 to restore its station, construct a handicapped ramp and help preserve the history of the New Jersey coast, according to borough historian Mary Ware.

It is very important that these Light Saving Stations be saved. The hard work and the number of lives that where saved is of historical importance.
