I tried to get pictures of the Frying Pan on one of our trips to NYC and it was nearly impossible at the time without a fisheye lens.

This was about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago. The pier it was/is on is really narrow and the lot next to it was fenced off for construction. I saw the ship, I touched the ship, but I just couldn't photograph it. Maybe things have changed since then.

No, I think it was a restaurant or some such thing at the time and it wasn't open.

Al's shot looks like what I would have been able to get has the lot next door had not been fenced off.
