Sand Point LH (Escanaba) Aug 23-05

Just got back from a lighthouse trip? Have you just finished photographing every aspect of one lighthouse? Post the pictures here! Lighthouse-related photos are also welcome.

Gerald:

Wow! It seems like you and your lady friend had a wonderful trip. Your photos made me want to go see this lighthouse. The photos have given me a happy feeling.

In case you did not know the lighthouses and the keepers houses had to be keep ship shape with everything right up to order. But this is another topic.

Thank you, thank you for sharing your photos.

Thanks Leah and Carole:-)

We truly enjoyed ourselves and made the most of our days by pretty much starting out each day at around 7:30 in the morning till about that same hour at night. We never "rushed" but we had an agenda

Mine too, that's an awesome shot. The others are good, but that last one shows a really good eye for composition. Maybe it's my affinity for Fresnels, but that's a winner!!

I am going agree with Mike the last being my favorite one. What made it good for me is that the viewer eyes are lead around the entire picture. I could see this picture in an ad for the lighthouse.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful shots of this pretty light. I have only been around the exterior grounds, as when I was there in 2002 it was an early Sunday morning and they were not yet open. Your Fresnel shot is very cool!

Thanks Carole and Brent :-)

I agree with you, Hersh in that picture would have lost some luster with an airport beacon showing off the side.
