Google Earth Lighthouse Uncontest

Just got back from a lighthouse trip? Have you just finished photographing every aspect of one lighthouse? Post the pictures here! Lighthouse-related photos are also welcome.

Hi Everybody,

A new Uncontest has arrived. This one - Google Earth lighthouse snapshots.

---

About Google Earth (More detail is available on ther website)

For those who do not know what I'm talking about; Google Earth is a free program that can be downloaded at earth.google.com. It is easy to use and you should get used to it fairly quickly.

To post a image here pick a angle/altitude on Google Earth you like best, go to FILE, SAVE, SAVE IMAGE. After that, just upload the image into your Photo Gallery (or whatever you usually use) and post it like you always do.

Uncontest Rules

1 - Only US Lights (Once it dies down I will start another country)
2 - Avoid posting multiple images of the same lighthouse

---

I will start it off, with my favourite light (and my username) - Montauk Point, NY

Just a starting point, I would guess. Be sure and leave the Google imprints on these as well, if you do post!

I just thought it would be a good way to start off, after this starts to die down I am going to start one for another country.

I guess one of the closest tall towers to me now, at least as the crow flies, is probably Fire Island, NY.

The resolution of this shot of Pigeon Point, CA south of Pescadero isn't the greatest but it is a spectacular light to photograph!
